A powerful multicharacter play depicting the struggles of survivors and the heroes who emerged from Australia’s unforgettable summer of 2020, played by Aurora Kurth & Dave Houston. LIMBOLAND takes to the stage with the true stories of fires, floods and storms by those left stranded in a tent city of broken dreams and the many who step up to give a helping hand.
The engaging duo of Kurth & Houston play 30 characters, whose stories are based on interviews with communities affected by the Black Saturday Bushfires (2009), the Northern Rivers and Lismore floods of February (2022) and the Coffs Harbour hailstorm (2021).
Full-On Theatre developed the production in collaboration with award winning Zeal Theatre director, Stefo Nantsou, whose shows regularly explore themes based on real life stories and have been produced in over 30 countries around the world. Says Stefo, "A tour-de-force of multi-character acting, gritty drama laced with wry country humour and a melodious blend of music, song and soundscape, LIMBOLAND is a dynamic piece of full-on theatre!”
Showing for one night only at the Brunswick Picture House, SAT 17 FEB, at 4.30pm with a complimentary gourmet BBQ and meet and greet to follow at 5.30pm.
Thanks to the support of the National Resilience and Recovery Agency, tickets are only $5 and is proudly presented by Full-On Theatre.
