Come and build a giant nest, a beautiful shelter or a cubby worthy of Andy Goldsworthy’s approval! Our enchanted forest space is the perfect place to create works of art that will inspire our local children to spend more time outdoors.

Wildlings Forest School will provide guidance, inspiration and a myriad of ropes, sheets, raw materials, such as palm fronds and branches, and bamboo to create natural and beautiful structures fit for any wild adventurer. Children will have full (supervised) use of our hand tools (including bow saws, hammers, hand drills etc.) to use as their imagination desires.

BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL!

What to bring
● Snacks
● Water bottle

● Long pants
● Togs & Towel
● Spare change of clothes (inc. shoes)
● Hat & sunscreen
● Bug repellent
● Something to sit on (we bring big rugs but you might want your own)

Where to Meet
Head to Youth Avenue in Burnside where you can park in front of the Sunshine Coast PCYC. Walk around the PCYC, along the oval side until you see the green Little Athletics shed where we will be meeting.

Please note that there are no toilets or drinking taps at the Forest School site. We have a ‘wee tree’ however if you need a proper toilet facility or need to refill water bottles, you will need to walk back to the PCYC. Before we head to the creek please make sure your family has had some time to use the toilets there.

Once we are ready we will lead the group down the path along the creek until we get to base camp. From here we will always go over our safety briefing.

For more information, please see our Into the Wild FAQs.
